I Will Be Presenting on Istio at IBM Think in Las Vegas

I have the honour and privilege to announce that I will be presenting 4 sessions at IBM Think in Las Vegas in March. The first presentation will focus on MicroservicesContainerization and Istio.

My Istio Session at IBM Think

Introducing Istio: A New Way of Managing Microservices

I am seriously excited about this session. It’s amazing how much has happened between initially submitting my abstract and this blog post. What I intended to present is nowhere near what I will be presenting thanks to a number of new releases and IBM offerings.

If you are someone who’s interested in the idea of DevOps, Containerization and Microservices, this session is for you.  I will be discussing the pros and cons of adopting a Microservice and Contanerization strategy vs traditional methods, and how implementing Istio will resolve many of the challenges one will face in this new venture.

What is IBM Think

“Think” (originally known as World of Watson), is a major annual event that’s being combined with a number of smaller IBM conferences:

  • Amplify
  • Edge
  • Connect
  • InterConnect

Think will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, from the 19th – 22nd March 2018.

Topics that will be presented at the event include:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cloud
  • Data
  • Internet of Things
  • Systems
  • Security

I am truly excited to be a part of IBM Think this year. Everything about this conference screams innovation and is an absolute must for anyone in the technology space. I also can’t wait to catch up with many attending this event who I call friends. March cannot come sooner!

Cheers for now
